You see he saw that coming and some part of him couldn’t help but be reminded of himself as a slightly younger man. There was a time when he buzzed around Fish Mooney like an annoying little fly,hoping that she would eventually give him the time of day━ or kill him. The former was certainly the more preferable opinion and he thought this kid surely felt the same.
“ Persistence isn’t always a good thing but, fine then, I’ll humour you. Go ahead and speak; I could use the distraction. ”He practically demanded this as he gave his full attention. Regardless he had a feeling whatever information the boy had to give him he would be able to make use of it in some way or another━ he didn’t at all look like he was out to disappoint.
👑 ––– There was a touch of relief that passed over his features in not being shooed away once again - so small and brief it barely could be spotted, but present none-the-less. It was not so much about the importance of the information, really, so much as the acknowledgement that he could be carrying something of at least some value. Knowledge, as any smart man knew, was power and this knowledge was definitely going to be powerful against the men he’d been working under that he’d since come to be so disillusioned with.
“ Thank you, ” He said, quickly, collecting his thoughts briefly so as to not waste the other’s time and make himself a further nuisance. The goal of this revelation, after all, had been to win himself a potential place in the man’s favor. “ As I said, I work for some of your underlings - At least, they were your underlings. I’ve reason to believe they’ve been offered a sizable reward to turn over your profits and information by individuals wishing to see you knocked from your position. If my understanding of the situation is correct, whoever this is may be behind several similar ploys throughout other branches of your operation. These men I’ve been working for are not necessarily the brightest, so what they’ve been made privy to about these outside forces is limited, but not without it’s moments. I’m young and mostly just a runner, so my understanding of the situation has been greatly underestimated and… I’ve been using that in hopes that I could report to you something of value. ”
This is a selective, multiship, multiverse blog for Ignatius Ogilvy/Emperor Penguin from the DC comics with heavy interpretation liberties taken on my part. I'm open to interaction with anyone and everyone.

Material
As I am 19, I will be offering smut as a roleplay option on this blog. I have several rules specific to this content, which you can see below. Because of this, there may be some NSFW content, but it will always be under a read more and tagged accordingly.
I'm also perfectly fine with other mature content including gore, depression, suicide, death, mild sexual content (innuendos, fade to blacks, discussions), profanity, or any other PG-13 to R-rated things.
**Note: Given the nature of Nay's character, this blog will probably have more content like this than some of my other blogs, but I still would prefer as few threads with it as possible.**
While we're on the topic... I will do my best to tag when and if I see fit for blacklisting and also include potentially triggering material with #trigger warning, but I myself have few triggers so I may not know or realise yours. I ask that you approach me kindly and with maturity if tagging a certain thing or the way in which I tag becomes an issue and I'll do my upmost to remedy the situation.

We respect all ships here. So long as you are respectful when presenting ships, I am fulling willing to include them in our threads, with the exception of ships of an incestous nature. So long as you aren't rude, pushy or inconsiderate about any ship, I'll do my best to deal. If I lose interest in a thread because of the ship, please do not be offended.

Smut
As both my muse and I are at least 18 years of age, I will be opening this account to sexual content roleplay if anyone is interested. I will only roleplay this content if you're at least 18, regardless of the age of consent in your country. I will make a point to ask you before engaging in this kind of content and I most likely will be keeping record of your age confirmation just incase.
I will not roleplay gore, BDSM, pedophilia, incest, lubeless anal sex or rape. I use these roleplays as a tool to expand my writing abilities and not for any kind of personal pleasure, so please don't ask about that, either.
I am most comfortable writing male/male relations, but I will attempt other forms of smut. Please be patient with me in these situations as I am still learning.
Crossovers, AUs And OCs
My character is set primarily in the New 52 Universe and most of his story is based off the comics, with slight influences from other media. Please refer to my other pages for further information. My muse would absolutely love to interact with anyone in this universes including OCs and Canon characters alike. You are always welcome to stop in or tag me in a starter.
That being said, my muse is 100% available to interact with everyone and anyone, including chacters from other fandoms and some of your very own. I prefer if you have some kind of about page or informational for your character before interacting - Yes, even canon characters, since everyone plays them differently - but this wont be an immediate disqualifyer if you don't. I will even interact with personals and sideblogs, if that's your thing. Fandoms I know or am familiar with will have first priority.
Format
To some people, roleplaying in thread style isn't as rewarding. As a user of many platforms, myself, I can definitely see how certain styles of roleplaying make the thread format kind of dumb. I have been asked by several people if we can roleplay in other ways, but I'm sorry to say the answer is no. I will be keeping this muse primarily on this blog. I will update in the future if this changes.
I am available to do private roleplays via asks or instant messaging, if you prefer. The only objection I have is to fanmail, since it's bulky, irritating to look at and impractical for longer threads. For this reason, I ask you avoid it all together. I appreciate your cooperation on the matter.
Out Of Character Drama
I like to think I generally am a pretty patient and understanding person, in general. I try not to get involved in others conflicts where it's not nessessary and always offer a shoulder to cry on (or bitch at) so long as you don't drag me into anything. In fact, if you have need or want for a late night headcanon buddy or general loser dork bro, I'm happy to hand out my skype and other other contact info. I reserve the right to keep my mailing address to myself, however everything else is free game.
The only issue I have with out of character drama is when you do any one of the following:

◉️️ Attack someone else (especially other friends of mine)
◉️️ Repeatedly insult me or put me down
◉️ Guilt me into anything. This one I'm especially serious about because I'm very easily guilted and will not stand for someone taking advantage of me.
◉️️ Forcing me into anything I'm uncomfortable with
◉️ Get involved in anything illegal
I like to be fair and understanding with every one and I get if you have a bad day, but if these are a continual concern or if seeing your posts on my dash start to become a difficult thing to see, daily, I reserve the right to unfollow, block and report as I see fit.
Roleplay Etiquette
As with most roleplay blogs on Tumblr, there are certain practices that you should adhere to just to make everything run smoother and decrease drama.
First and foremost, please understand the limits of your character and try to have a basic understanding of mine. The muse present on this blog does not initially have any powers, but has an incredibly sharp mind and is a fighter. He's not going to be super easy to take out in confrontation. That being said, he is not without weaknesses and can be overpowered, especially if your character knows about them or happens to have one of them on hand.
Secondly, don't take over my character. I understand that for certain situations writing that yours overpowered them in some way or perhaps forced them to do some action is necessary and I'm down with that, but these situations are rare. In most cases, you will roleplay the actions of your muse and I shall monitor the actions of mine. This way everyone is happy and no one gets accused of any sickly titles such as being godmods.
Third, please do not roleplay anything on my no fly list. Do not try to force me, trick me or manipulate me into roleplaying anything that I am uncomfortable with. I've very clearly laid out content that is allowed on this blog and am usually pretty open about most content, but I will not be made uncomfortable for the sake of your entertainment. Respect this and I will offer you the same courtesy in return.

In fact, I absolutely detest it. Not all memes feel in character for my muse to send and I do not always feel comfortable approaching others like that, especially if we have not interacted in the past. I also ask that you do not practice Reblog Karma on this blog. Answering asks can sometimes be stressful for me and the added idea that you may not even really want to do a thread and are only sending them out of duty and not an actual desire to interact just makes it worse. Please simply reblog the meme and don't worry about sending me anything in return.
Thread Dropping And Timely Replies
One thing that I do often that annoys a lot of people is drop threads, often without much word to the wise. If you interact with me, please be understanding of this. I will, likewise, understand if you don't want to interact with me for this reason.
Threads may be dropped for any of these reasons:

If you notice that one of our threads hasn't gotten a reply in some time, but you would like to continue it or continue roleplaying with me in general, I ask that you IM me or send me an ask and we can discuss it. 85% of the time threads are either lost in the garbage that is my activity or I simply am just trying to answer another thread or am busy doing research. In these cases, I will work on replying a little faster, but may require a little extra nudge.

Plotting
My absolute favorite thing to do is plot. You will never, ever annoy me with plotting and you are 100% encouraged to send me headcanons for our muses at all hours of the day. As a matter of fact, these little things tend to help me create better relationships with individual muses and their muns and will likely result in better and more consistant replies.
If you come to plot, I can try to offer thread suggestions based on information I read about your character, but the best results are when you come with some kind of a plot idea. Generally, my first question for people is to ask them if they have a specific idea in mind or a verse that appeals to them. If you are unable to see one of my pages, feel free to ask and I will be happy to reiterate what they say in asks or IM.
Generally, longer and more complicated storylines are my favorite and will likely result in more interaction with my character. Don't feel obligated to do these kinds of threads, though. If you want something simple and easy, I'm always down for that, too.
Mains And Exclusives
As a rule of thumb, I don't really believe in having exclusives, though on this blog I am going to be testing out something I like to call verse-exclusives, meaning that certain verses (such as my mainverse) may have people who are the only ones I interact with in that verse. I will be able to interact with other versions of that character still, but not in that particular verse. I likewise ask that, if you become exclusives with me that you make the situation mutual and don't invite others to roleplay off the verse we might have established.
As usual, I will definitely be having mains on this blog, who will have first priority over other roleplayers. These individuals will be chosen based on their character's chemistry with Nay, how long we've been interacting and if they've talked to me out of character to just get to know them or to develop our plot. Most of the time, I will approach people to ask them if they'd like to be on my mains list, but if you would like to be added, feel free to ask. If I turn you down, you are welcome to ask why, but please respect the decision.
Mun
The only thing I have to say is that the mun and the muse are not the same in everything. While I like to think that I share many traits with some of my muses, we are each our own separate entities and sometimes they do or says things that makes my skin crawl just as much as yours. Nay, especially, is a very dark and merciless character. For this reason, please do not instantly assume that because they say or do something to your muse that this reflects how I actually feel about you.
Likewise, any and all relationships they may form with your muse is to be solely between muses. We can be besties, but I am not particularly seeking romance at the time being.

Ignatius, born to Ed and Ann Ogilvy, lived his earliest years with his parents. Even from a young age, he was well aware of his father's criminal activities and was not at all sheltered from the life the man lived - In fact, it was almost if he was groomed for a life of crime. His father had always been loyal to his employers, but despite this he was eventually killed in the midst of a business negotiation, alongside his wife. They were survived by their teenage son, who drew the attention of Oswald Cobblepot not long after. Despite having grown up with a criminal for a father, Nay found himself learning far more interesting and useful information from the Penguin and others among his ranks. All those years of playing it safe had ultimately done his father no good and it was in those early years that Nay decided he would be a far more powerful and influential man than his father ever was. It was also at this time when Nay had his first encounter with the Batman - A dark and terrifying creature of the night that stood above his quivering form and warned him to stay out of trouble. A weaker man would have listened.
Ignatius did not.
He continued to work under the Penguin, quickly learning the ins-and-outs of crime in Gotham; How to slide under the radar, how to weasel around the cops and - perhaps most importantly - how to stay just low enough on the Batman's list to not be worth coming after. His knowledge resulted in many successful heists, which helped him rise in the ranks of Penguins operation. No matter how much one prepares, though, an encounter with Batman is inevitable. While working as an ordinary henchman, Nay caught three batarangs to the arm, resulting in a deep gash that eventually turned into a scar.
It was not long after that before Nay not only grew into a much more notable rank in Cobblepots' operation, but even become the man's favorite. He came to gain respect and power, but he quickly grew tired of still sitting beneath the Penguin's throne. He kept his outward pleasantries, but prepared to overthrow his senior when the opportunity finally presented itself.

Edward Ogilvy......Nay's father, who worked as a low-profile criminal prior to being murdered outside the Monarch Theater.
Ann Ogilvy......Nay's mother, who he was somewhat close to in his childhood, but eventually lost to a terrible murder.
Coworkers
Oswald Cobblepot......Nay's boss and mentor in the criminal underworld. He took the man in when he was just a boy, after the death of his parents, and has been building him into the criminal mastermind he is ever since.
Allies
Pamela Isley......A young woman whose knowledge of plants and control over them makes her quite a formidable ally. Their partnership came to be when he saved her life by placing enough plantlife in the box which she was buried in under orders of Cobblepot to ensure she could breath and retrieved her some time thereafter, meaning that she owes him a lifedebt he intends to make good on.
Enemies
Batman......The legend come to life. He's been slinking around the Batman his whole life to avoid another encounter like the one that got him his scar. Sometimes it works... Sometimes it doesn't.
Nightwing......A sometimes peppy and lighthearted crime-fighter, Nay knows it can be very easy to underestimate this guy, but he knows better than to do so after an encounter or two with him.
Robin......The everchanging and incredibly trained boy wonder, partner and apprentice to the Batman. Even despite his youth and inexperience, he is not to be underestimated.

( v2 ) Crime Blooded...... Ignatius is the son of a low-level mobster and is already being groomed to follow in his father's footsteps. Crime is really all he knows, but even at this age he is quite resentful towards his father for always letting himself be stepped on. ( v3 ) No Mercy 'Cuz You're Children......When out one evening, Ignatius and his parents are stopped by a gunman who kills both of them and leaves the boy to suffer the trauma of the event. With no one else to turn to, Nay takes up work in Penguin's organization, acting as a runner and doing other small jobs to gain ranks and respect. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v4 ) Brute Force...... Now a young adult, Ignatius works as an ordinary henchman. He will not be granted the same lenience from the Batman that he had recieved as a child and Nay must learn to be more careful lest he earn another scar like the one running down his arm. ( v5 ) Hostile Takeover...... With Oswald Cobblepot wrapped up with the events in Arkham, Ignatius takes it upon himself to usurp the man's empire. He's taken on the identity of Empire Penguin and is working to eliminate all his enemies while the chaos of Joker's return can cover it all up. ( v6.1 ) You Become What You Fear......Batkid verse; Ignatius was just a kid when his parents were killed behind a theater, leaving him an orphan. Bruce, after hearing about the incident, became interested in a young Nay because of the similarities in which the trauma was to his own - Even going so far as to have happened in the same place. Bruce took him in and he eventually came to mentor under the Batman after learning of his secret identity. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v6.2 ) All Robins Must Learn To Fly......Batkid verse; Having spent a few years under Bruce mentorship, Ignatius grows a little resentful of living under Batman's thumb and believes he is ready to strike out on his own. Him and Bruce have some disagreements and he leaved the Bat behind, but still works to serve justice to the criminal underbelly as Emperor. He may not take much time to see Bruce or the rest of the Batfamily, but he can be called on in a pinch. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v6.3 ) Can't Deny Your Blood......Batkid alternate verse; It is said that one cannot escape who they are. Ignatius, while mentoring under Batman, grew very resentful of being stuck forever under the other's thumb. After a fight with the man, he left Wayne Manor and stuck out on his own, but he found the lifestyle he was used to more difficult to support on his own. He started out with just petty crime to support himself, but eventually grew to love the taste of it and eventually went into the employment of the Penguin. He came to believe this was where he belonged, among his father's people. He holds a particularly hard grudge against Batman for "denying him his birthright" all these years, but there might also be a small part of him that is grateful to Bruce for taking him under his wing, once. ( v7 ) When Opportunity Presents Itself......Gotham Verse; Ignatius was just a poor orphan boy whose parents had fallen victim to the crime world that he had been raised in. Now, seventeen and alone, Nay lives on the streets of Gotham and works to make himself an invaluable resource to the city's criminal underbelly. His quick wit and charm makes him a quick favorite to many that he comes across in the criminal world and he is very quickly gaining recognition in the ranks of Penguin's empire, hoping to someday make his way all the way up to the bird, himself. ( v8 ) The Dawn Of An Empire......DCEU Verse; After years of dedicated service to the infamous Penguin, Ignatius has finally managed to claw his way up the ranks to be the man's right-hand man. His responsibilities are numerous and he is known among some as Penguin's second in command. When he isn't off doing a job, he can usually be found at the Iceberg Lounge. All threads are independent of each other, unless discussed otherwise.
( v9 ) There's No Need For Masks Among Friends......Arrow Verse; Born and raised in Starling City's crime world, Ignatius knew the city's underbelly very intimiately. After the event of the Undertaking, many of those in power above him disappeared and he was quickly able to work his way up the rungs of the criminal ladder. He is determined to make a name for himself on the streets as Emperor, but for now he works carefully in his heists to ensure that he does not draw the attention of The Arrow.
